Child Abduction
Statistics
More
than 2,100 children are believed to be reported missing every day –
a total of 792,200 children each year.
Of
this staggering statistic, 438,200 of these children were abducted by
someone the child ‘did not know’.
The remaining 354,000 children were abducted by someone known to the child.
In the United States alone, approximately 120,000 ‘attempted’
abductions occur each year.
The number of missing children reported to law enforcement has dramatically
increased 468% in the past 20 years.
